What Scott-Arthur’s students, talent agents & personal managers are saying about the Creative Actors Workshop:
“Scott-Arthur I just got off the phone with a fella named Torrey Roussin who was shopping in the store where my wife works here in LA, she told him, "give my husband a call." So we’re talking about good classes and he mentioned this really great teacher in St. Louis named Scott-Arthur Allen, and I just started laughing...and I agreed of course. It's funny that in talking with people out here in Los Angeles about class and mentioning your name, people are like, "oh yeah, he had a great audition class." I hope the kids in Missouri realize what they've got!!------James Shelton Missouri Actor/Dancer now in Los Angeles. To Diane Schorsch Talent Plus Saint Louis Missouri:
“By the by, while this was my first film audition at a full-blown casting agency, I was completely prepared and concentrated thanks to the amazing Scott-Arthur Allen workshops. Even though it was all a first-time experience, nothing came as a surprise nor as a distraction as the entire experience was EXACTLY as Scott-Arthur describes and prepares us for.” And I got the part!------Eddie Lin Saint Louis Actor Scott,
Thank you so much for informing me about the Workshop held last Friday and Saturday. It had been a while since I had had the opportunity to take a class and, although I was unfamiliar with Mr. Allen, I decided to take the opportunity to refresh my skills at this Seminar. Boy, am I glad I did! First, the site was centrally located and easy to find. The room was spacious and there was no conflicting activity going on; we had the whole building to ourselves, which was, I think, very conducive to actors freely expressing themselves. Now, about Mr. Scott-Arthur Allen: I had been hesitant about attending when I learned that the other participants included young children as well as teenagers, young adults and me. I thought that any lecture would have to be either toned down to baby-talk for children to understand, or so above the comprehension (in vocabulary and life experience) of the majority of the young people there, that I would be disappointed. I am happy to say that neither was the case. Mr. Allen spoke of his work in clear language, well-paced and well-placed, so that each of us understood his teaching and could apply it well. On Saturday, when we worked on scenes, I was amazed to see the transformation (in such a short time) in all our skills by applying the techniques that Scott-Arthur Allen taught us. Before the seminar, I had had problems with memorization and focusing; now I know that I won't have those problems again! I will apply the Allen technique to my work and practice, practice, practice (as he advised). -- Johnnie Faye Fernandez |
